Katie Gregory

Here is the thing.  I can't find anything on my grandmothers family other than a tale tale that was passed from one generation to the next.  I can't seem to find anything on here or her family!  But the story was that my Great Great Grandfather Augustus Gregory was Heir to the Throne.  Which one I'm not sure.  But that to save the blood line and from Execution the child Gregory was sent to the new world.  I can only trace them to Branchville, VA  Even if it isn't a true story it would be nice to know my roots.  Yet the story that was told to me there was record of this event yet lost in the fire of Richmond, VA.  Since there were two fires in Richmond and a few floods not really sure which era to try and look.  But to my knowledge that was how the story was told.  If anyone can help find the missing key yet I'm sure we all are trying would be great.

Thanks.
